Tanner – an occupation with a future

Leather is a unique natural product: soft and supple but also tough and durable. Leather comes in many different types and colours, is versatile in application and, in our modern high-tech world, remains just as popular as it was thousands of years ago.

The various types of leather we know and love are produced by tanners. It is the work of the tanner that turns the hides and skins of domestic farm animals into the unique product of GENUINE LEATHER – which protects the motorcycle rider, sets the right tone in the vehicle interior or creates a suitable ambiance in the form of the living room sofa.

From receiving the raw materials to delivering the refined product, the production of leather takes several weeks. Numerous process steps and refining processes are completed during this time, under the continuous supervision of the tanner.
